Aurora Material Solutions to Acquire JPI South Assets; Strategic Move Supports Growth and Enhanced Service
STREETSBORO, OH – May 1, 2018 – Aurora Material Solutions, LLC, a leader in thermoplastic compounds, today announced its plans to acquire assets of JPI South in Pasadena, Texas. As part of this transaction, Aurora Material Solutions has also entered into a long-term lease for the former JPI site, a strategic location. The move places Aurora Material Solutions in close proximity to suppliers and enhances the company’s ability to serve customers in the western and southern part of the United States.

The company plans to invest significant capital to bring state-of-the-art equipment and technology into the facility, creating another world-class PVC blending location. Upgrades will be completed over the next few quarters. Aurora Material Solutions anticipates that production will begin in the first quarter of 2019 at the Pasadena, TX, facility.
This is the third acquisition that Aurora Material Solutions has made in the last twelve months, after purchasing companies in Lunenburg, MA (S&E Specialty Polymers), and Marieville, QC (Reinier Plastics).
